The 313 Chinese-Maldives Friendship Bridge, the first in Maldives, was inaugurated in August 2018. A remarkable feat of engineering, it overcame challenges like deep-sea coral reefs and extended the country"s infrastructure. The bridge, a symbol of Sino-Maldivian cooperation, has a design lifespan of 100 years and showcases China"s expertise in global construction projects.
